So, I'm building a blog

And it strikes me immediately that this might not actually be the best of ideas.

To lower expectations from the start, I state now I'll never be the most prolific of bloggers. I'm doing this for fun (the tears of joy are welling already) rather than financial gain. That's not to say this place will be advert or plug-free - help with hosting costs will always be welcome - but no, I'm not here for that.

I guess I now need to think about what I'm going to write about: yes, that would be a plan. Anyone epecting romance, suspense, thrills and laughs should note that the biggest thing on my mind this week has been JavaScript rounding shenanigans, how Django works and how, six-and-a-bit weeks since the decorations came down, there can still be a bazillion pine-needles lodged in the carpet.

This is gonna be a rollercoaster ride, I can just tell.
